Are you missing my updates??

Dear all,

I hope you are all enjoying the autumn and looking forward to Thanksgiving and then the Christmas and New Year Holidays.

The news about Graham is that he is settling into his current situation, with some niggles here and there, but generally is OK at the Buena Vista Care Center. He has his powered wheel chair and can get around much easier with it. He has visitors nearly every day. Life is a succession of eating, visiting, reading and sleeping. He can watch his television and listen to music when others help to set that up.

Visitors write post cards from him so he is doing his best to keep up with all of you.

I understand that some mail that was sent to BVCC has not got through, so would like to ask that you send all correspondence to his post office box which is literally next door to the center and he can actually go there with help to get his own mail. The address is:

J. G. Maughan
PO Box 1507
Goleta CA 93116-1507
USA

I have got my ticket to ride now -- I will be arriving in Sunny Santa Barbara on the 9th of January and leaving on the 24th to return to Wintry Leeds. I look forward to seeing all the California folks while I am there.

The Walk for Peace has now passed the first magic mark of 6000 miles (you can still watch the progress at www.walkingforpeace.blogspot.com) and soon will change to Moving for Peace so people can ride their bikes, dance, knit, ski, sing, make coffee, or anything at all for peace. The new site is www.movingforpeace.blogspot.com where information will be regularly updated.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving next week. It is the one holiday I miss the very most of all.

Kind regards,
Linda
